Right now, we are actively seeking candidates for the below positions to further the mission of unlocking a fresh start for survivors of human trafficking. All positions take place on a flexible and remote schedule, and are on a pro bono basis. To indicate your interest, please send a cover letter and your resume to us here. Grant Writing Associate: The Grant Writing Associate is responsible for researching, applying for and managing grants for new funding for ALIGHT. The Grant Writing Associate joins our development team to contribute 10 hours per week to this position. This is a great opportunity to channel prior experience in securing grants and building relationships with institutional donors to contribute to building the capacity of a mission-driven anti-trafficking organization, while honing skills in strategy, research and writing.
Outreach Associate: This is an opportunity for an advocate passionate about supporting human trafficking survivors’ needs and building on their past work in the human trafficking/victim services community. The Outreach Associate joins the program team to contribute 5-10 hours per week to this position. Responsibilities include attending meetings and task force events, promoting cross-collaborations with community service organizations and cultivating partnerships. MSW or LCSW and past victim services advocacy experience preferred, as well as a 6+ month commitment.
Social Media Associate: The Social Media Associate is responsible for growing and managing the organization’s social media and web presence. This position involves contributing 3-5 hours per week on researching, creating and regularly posting content on all social media channels and driving support through engagement and discussions with our constituents and followers. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a critical area of outreach and hone strategic communication skills in a sensitive and complex area. Experience in communications, marketing and/or human rights field preferred. Videography and/or graphic design skills a plus.
Graphic Design Associate: We are looking for a graphic designer to work on a project basis up to 5 hours per week. Projects may include outreach, resource and promotional material, as well as presentation design, newsletters and web-ready graphics. Past work experience with with various digital and print design required. Videography skills a plus.

Ambassadors step into leadership and engage their community in the anti-trafficking movement. There are many ways to channel what you are already doing – with an added purpose. The goal is to expand our capabilities, plus strengthen our connections with the technology and legal communities. Particularly, we welcome individuals with expertise in law, fundraising, finance, business development, program management, human resources, communication, advocacy and technology strategy.
