Intake Advocate 8/15-9/25: ALIGHT is looking for a talented LCSW or MSW who is passionate about helping human trafficking survivors in our community from August 15th through September 25th. This role provides critical support for the warm line, working remotely to screen (by phone) for human trafficking and post survivors’ requests for legal help through the app. Once attorneys respond to requests, the Intake Advocate helps the survivor connect to the attorney for the pro bono advocacy, counsel and/or representation requested, as well as conduct some follow-up where needed. The ideal candidate for this role would be able to devote 1-2 hours per week, have experience working with human trafficking survivors (and training on screening for human trafficking), and be able to quickly (within 1 business day) respond to a call from a potential survivor. Bilingual a plus!
Grant Writing Associate: The Grant Writing Associate is responsible for researching, applying for and managing grants for new funding for ALIGHT. The Grant Writing Associate joins our development team to contribute 10 hours per week to this position. This is a great opportunity to channel prior experience in securing grants and building relationships with institutional donors to contribute to building the capacity of a mission-driven anti-trafficking organization while honing skills in strategy, research and writing.
Outreach Associate: This is an opportunity for an advocate passionate about supporting human trafficking survivors’ needs and building on their past work in the human trafficking/victim services community. The Outreach Associate joins the program team to contribute 5-10 hours per week to this position. Responsibilities include attending meetings and task force events, promoting cross-collaboration with community service organizations and cultivating partnerships. MSW or LCSW and past victim services advocacy experience preferred, as well as a 6+ month commitment.
Graphic Design Associate: We are looking for a graphic designer to work on a project basis for up to 5 hours per week. Projects may include outreach, resource and promotional material, as well as presentation design, newsletters and web-ready graphics. Past work experience with various digital and print design required. Videography skills a plus.
