“Justice for everyone is the goal of human society. Knowing that millions of people in the world are suffering requires action. Every little step in fighting injustice makes a difference in our life. Here at Allianz we were inspired by ALIGHT’s mission…They’ve done some exciting work already, and we hope our donation will help further the good they do in the world.” – AllianzGI
ALIGHT is grateful to the commitment of our Champions of Light and Ambassadors of Light to ensuring that human trafficking victims access justice. Your support makes a difference!
The ALIGHT Champions of Light
The Champions of Light Program is an opportunity for individuals, professional services firms or corporations to support our work through sponsorship. Consequently, Champions of Light demonstrate their commitment to community impact and justice for all. Learn how to become a Champion of Light here.
The ALIGHT Ambassadors of Light
The Ambassadors of Light Program is an opportunity for individuals, teams, community groups, professional services firms and other organizations. Specifically, Ambassadors step into leadership and engage their community in the anti-trafficking movement. There are a myriad of ways to channel what you already do – with an added purpose. For instance, you can organize a charity night with colleagues at a local restaurant, or run a marathon with a mission. Below are some recent examples. MARATHON WITH A MISSION – In 2015, Jill Monum launched Marathon with a Mission, the first Ambassador of Light Event. Because of her passion for the cause, Jill took action. So, here is her story: “This year I am running the New York City Marathon on Nov 1. It takes time, commitment and really hard work. It requires early mornings, sacrifice and dedication to get through long training runs in heat, rain, wind or cold. But I am not doing all of this for me. I am running because I’m passionate about breaking down barriers to empower people to live the life they deserve and dream of. That is why I am running to help victims of Human Trafficking.”
SILICON FLATIRONS, UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO LAW SCHOOL – In April 2016, as a 3L law student and the Silicon Flatirons Student Group’s President, Annie Tooley orchestrated a fantastic Ambassador of Light event. Thanks to Annie’s initiative, we engaged with over 25 law students interested in law, technology and public interest. To explain, the Silicon Flatirons Center for Law, Technology and Entrepreneurship is an interdisciplinary research center. Thus it is tasked with elevating the debate surrounding technology policy issues and enabling entrepreneurship in the technology community.
