Get Help

To connect to free legal help, the survivor can call the ALIGHT Intake Advocate Warm Line (720-608-6039). While ALIGHT’s is based in Colorado, we help survivors on legal issues throughout the U.S.

Call for free legal advocacy, counsel and representation to help with legal issues involving:

  • Child custody
  • Eviction
  • Criminal records
  • Debt collection
  • Disability benefits
  • Online privacy
  • Protection orders
  • Wage theft
  • Understanding your rights in the workplace
  • Tax
  • Contracts
  • Identity theft
  • Navigating the legal process or law enforcement investigations
  • Other advocacy, counsel and representation needs in family law, criminal law or civil litigation (ALIGHT does NOT assist with immigration law issues or murder charges)

To note before you call:

  • There are no guarantees that every legal request will be matched to an attorney, but we will do our best.
  • For legal help outside of Colorado, you can still follow the same process and we will try to help but please note that our program is currently based in Colorado.
  • This is a warm line (M-F 9 am – 5 pm MT). If the Intake Advocate is not able to answer your call, please leave a message with your name and number where you can be contacted.
  • The Intake Advocate is a mandatory reporter.
  • Visit Resources to Support Survivors for more information, including tips for working with attorneys.
  • Reach out to us at program@alightnet.org with any questions.
