About The ALIGHT Legal Advisory Council

The ALIGHT Legal Advisory Council is composed of experienced attorneys from different
areas of practice. The Council members advise on legal areas related to ALIGHT’s operations, review annual reports to support continual process improvement, grow awareness of ALIGHT services and resources for survivors and participate in meetings, focus groups and other events organized by ALIGHT.

Council members

Amy Conley

Litigation Counsel, DISH Network

Amy Conley has over 25 years of experience in the legal field. What began as a journey through different practice areas as a paralegal while raising her family, turned into a non-traditional law school adventure. Ms. Conley currently manages tort and insurance litigation as in-house counsel for the Fortune 200 company, DISH Network L.L.C., at its corporate headquarters in Englewood, Colorado.
Ms. Conley has worked with ALIGHT since it launched in 2017 as a Program Associate and then as a Consultant. In addition to her work with ALIGHT, Ms. Conley is currently a Board Member for Movement 5280, a nonprofit that provides a "family of support" to homeless youth who have aged out of foster care and other at-risk young people lacking guidance as they transition to adulthood. Ms. Conley is passionate about helping vulnerable populations within and outside her community.

Jayme Ritchie

Director of Pro Bono & Community Impact, Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, LLP

Jayme Ritchie manages Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, LLP’s philanthropy and community involvement programs, including sponsorships and donations, board placements, pro bono services and hands-on volunteer opportunities. Ms.Ritchie has held leadership roles with several nonprofits. Before joining the firm, she co-founded and served as the executive director of WeeCycle, a Colorado-based nonprofit that collects essential baby gear and distributes it to families in need. Prior to that, she ran her own law office for seven years, worked as an associate at a litigation firm and served as a staff attorney for the Mountain States Legal Foundation. Ms. Ritchie holds a JD from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.

Mike Cheroutes, Sr.

Principal at Colorado Center for Infrastructure Development

Mike Cheroutes, Sr. is an accomplished lawyer, business executive and board member with more than 50 years of experience in government and private infrastructure finance. Of particular relevance to ALIGHT’s important work, he has helped develop successful pro-bono programs for several law firms in this country and overseas. He has held multiple board positions and has received a number of awards for his work. Mr. Cheroutes earned his BA in International Relations from Harvard College and his JD from Stanford Law School.

Bob Connelly

Former ALIGHT Board Chair

Bob Connelly is the former Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at US WEST and Treasurer of American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Colorado. He has served on the ALIGHT Board from from 2018 to 2021. Mr. Connelly holds a JD from Columbia University School of Law.

Anne Beehler

Attorney at Holland & Knight

Anne Redcross Beehler is a litigation attorney in Holland & Knight's Newport Beach office. Ms. Beehler represents corporate and individual clients in a wide range of matters across California and New York. Much of Ms. Beehler's litigation practice focuses on the real estate industry. She has represented lenders, landlords, tenants, developers, investors, real estate investment trusts (REITs), receivers and individuals in a range of disputes concerning real property. Ms. Beehler handles her cases from start to finish and has substantial experience trying cases in federal and state courts. Ms. Beehler's civil experience includes matters of all types, including partnership disputes, corporate governance disputes, complex contract and fraud matters, theft of trade secret cases, claims under the state and federal securities laws, and qui tam and whistleblower actions.
