The United States is a “legal desert” when it comes to legal services for individuals who have been trafficked. Survivors often require complex, multi-jurisdictional and trauma-informed support on a variety of legal issues. However, only 16 such legal services organizations were found to exist in the country.

ALIGHT works with over 1,000 pro bono attorneys nationwide to fill those legal deserts as part of the Mobilizing Justice Program. Together, we combine forces to bring in specialized expertise from 20+ legal areas and multiple jurisdictions.
